Employee settings

Everything you can configure on an employee: identity, autonomy, limits, computer access, and the danger zone.

Open an employee and pick the Settings tab. Changes save automatically as you make them.

Profile

Their avatar, Name, and Role title (the subtitle under their name). Rename freely; nothing else changes.

Autonomy

LevelBehaviour
SupervisedAsks for approval before it acts.
AssistedHandles routine work; confirms high impact actions.
AutonomousActs on its own, without confirmation.

Start new hires on Supervised or Assisted, watch a week of runs, then loosen. Approvals still apply to anything that crosses your limits, whatever the level.

Limits

  • Max spend per day (USD). A hard cap on money spent on your behalf per 24 hours.
  • Max external messages per hour. Rate limits outbound messages.
  • Allowed email domains. Restrict who they can email. Leave blank to allow all.
  • Confirm before external emails. Pause and ask you before sending to anyone outside your team.

Computer access

In the desktop app there's an extra section here: Let this employee work on my computer. When it's on, their files, terminal, and code tools run on your machine instead of a cloud computer, and anything risky asks you first with a native dialog. Screen control on macOS also needs Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions.

Danger zone

  • Pause employee stops scheduled and autonomous work until you resume. Chat still works.
  • Delete employee removes everything: activity, memory, chat, and connectors. You type their name to confirm, and there's no undo.

Note

Tools, triggers, goals, email, wallet, and memory are managed on the Workspace tab rather than here. See Managing your team.
