Your team at work
How your company's team keeps you posted: your Manager's chat, each teammate's own messages, the team list, what's waiting on you and the daily recap.
Your company's home is your chat with your Manager on the Employees page. The team list beside it says what each teammate is doing right now, or Waiting on you when their step needs you. On the right is your Manager's profile card: what they're on Now, the Plan with the face of whoever owns each step, the company's Documents, and the team's newest Files (All files opens the Files page). Open a teammate and their card shows their work instead: what they're on now (or Waiting on you, or what's Up next), the files they've made and their Steps. The team's talk about each step lives in your team room, the group chat named after your company, where each step is one card with its own thread. You can still message anyone, any time: they answer where you asked and finish the work there.
When your Manager speaks up
Your Manager speaks to you in your chat, in a sentence or two, and only when it matters: an answer to you, a decision only you can make, a problem you need to know about, or something you can use, like your website going live or your first sale. When a step is stuck on something only you can give, your Manager asks with up to three ways forward to tap, or you can just reply. Anything waiting on you sits above the message box until you answer.
When a teammate starts or finishes a step
Each teammate keeps you posted on their own steps, in their own chat: a short message when they start one, like “I'm starting on the market research. I'll send it over when it's done.”, and another when it's done, with what they made attached, like the document, the website or the prospect list. When a step waits on your pick, they also tell you when they start building on it. If a step moves to someone else, the teammate handing it over and the one taking it both say so. That's all they send on their own: questions, decisions and problems still come from your Manager. A new message shows on their name in the team list.
The daily recap
Around 6pm your time, your Manager sends a short recap in your chat: what got done, what's next and anything waiting on you. If nothing happened, nothing is posted, and it never comes by email. To change how closely you follow along, tell your Manager, or change Involvement under Settings, then Company.
Your calls
As the checklist runs, your Manager brings you the decisions only you should make, like what to sell and the sign-off to launch. Each one is a call: a card of options the team made, where picking one approves it. See Making the calls.
Growing the team is a call too. When the work needs someone the team doesn't have, your Manager suggests a hire, and you decide. See When your Manager suggests a hire.
