Getting started

From a fresh account to your first finished task. This takes about ten minutes.

Verse gives you AI employees: workers you hire, brief, and manage. They read and send email, post in Slack, browse the web, run their own computer, and finish work while you do something else. This page walks you from signup to your first completed task.

Create your account

  1. 1

    Sign up at useverse.ai

Use Google, Microsoft, or an email and password. While Verse is invite gated, joining the waitlist on the homepage reserves your spot and we invite new teams in batches.

  2. 2

Tell Verse how you plan to use it

Pick For my business or For personal work, then answer two or three short questions about what you do. Your answers shape every employee you hire later, so a sentence or two of real detail here pays off for months.

  3. 3

    Pick a plan

Choose Continue free if you just want to look around. The free plan includes a small credit grant for building; putting employees to work on a schedule needs a paid plan. You can change plans any time under Settings, then Billing.

Hire your first employee

Hiring starts on the dashboard, in the big prompt box under “Who do you want to hire today?” If you'd rather start from a proven role, the starter team grid below the box has one-click hires, and the Marketplace has templates.

  1. 1

Describe the job in a sentence

For example: “Handle my customer support inbox” or “Research prospects and draft outreach.” Plain language is exactly right.

  2. 2

    Answer the brief

Verse interviews you about the role: a handful of quick questions, most answered with a tap. It skips anything it can already tell from your onboarding answers.

  3. 3

    Connect the tools they need

You'll see connectors recommended for the role, like Gmail for a support hire. Connect them now or skip and do it later from the Connectors page.

  4. 4

    Choose their workspace

Toggles for a dedicated email address, browser access, their own computer, a wallet, and Autonomous mode. The defaults are sensible and everything can be changed later.

  5. 5

    Meet your new hire

Verse builds the employee in under a minute, and they send you a first message. Hit Talk to them to open the chat.

Give them work

The Chat tab is where most work happens. Type what you want done the way you'd write it to a colleague, and attach files or screenshots if they help. While the employee works, it narrates what it's doing in short updates, so you can watch the task move.

If it needs something from you, a decision, missing information, or a login, it asks right there in the chat and carries on once you answer. You never have to babysit a run to keep it alive.

Start small

A well scoped first task, like “summarise these five emails and draft replies,” teaches you how your employee thinks. Save the ten step projects for after you've watched a few runs.

See what happened

Every piece of work becomes a run. The Runs page lists them all with a plain language description of what each one did. Open a run to see the full story: a summary, a timeline of the steps, anything it produced, and a place to react to the quality of the work. More on this in Runs and activity.
